A network to provide a variety of services in China through 100% local subsidiaries, joint-venture local subsidiaries and local representative offices efficiently located in central (Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejian, Wuhan, Chongqing), south (Hong Kong, Fujian, Guangdong), and north (Qingdao, Tianjin, Beijing) China has been established and is being further developed. Large factory equipment transport and distribution processing, such as quality control and needle detection, are being well received widely. Furthermore, support is provided both in Japan and China to customers building new factories in China. Staff members well-versed in local circumstances provide assistance for everything from the creation of master lists for facilities tax exemption procedures to "soft" aspects, such as negotiation with the customs house having jurisdiction and the Economic and Trade Commission, to "hard" aspects such as plant transport and other extraordinary traffic. Using the first CEPA qualification approved in Hong Kong for a Japanese company, we have established wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Mitsui-Soko Hong Kong subsidiary in Guangdong, Shandong, and Zhejiang. Furthermore, we provide a wide range of services in South Korea and Taiwan, including storage, delivery, and forwarding.
